What is the best 3D modeling/animating workflow?




Should I model in Maya and animate in Max or vice versa? Or should I both model and animate in one or the other? I only ask because I notice that Autodesk developed both the programs and am wondering why. I assume they are used for different things but I don’t know. Thanks!

    honestly i don’t think you should be shut of on modeling or animation in either program. i would suggest testing out different combos and see what fits you. although animation in maya can be easier at times than max can be.

    also for you consideration, when it comes to lighting and rendering max can do it better. and modeling in maya seems to be easier more times than max
