DIY computer for graphic specialist(3D)?
please help, i want to get a new DIY computer by this weekend, but im not very good with hardware specifications.
im picking up loads of 3D, running Maya, 3DMax, Torque Game Engine, doing Photoshop. in short i will be dealing with loads of graphics with this computer. i hope to get the best parts for my DIY computer.
im thinking of getting a
-80GB Hard Disk
-2.5GB RAM
is it sufficient? i dont want to experience frequent computer lags. also im not sure about the best deals of reliable graphic card. also, what size should i get? any other hardware i missed out? if so, please let me know.
you help is very much appreciated, thank you!

hi
depending on what are you going to use the computer for but for graphics usually you need the fastest graphic card, maximum amount of ram (big frequency) your motherboard can support, the fastest processor and the biggest hard drive, that means… you can easily spend 7000$ on a computer…
if you just start with 3d graphics then get at least 2gb of ram, 3.0 proc (intel) nvidia 8800/515 ram (gt), 300GB HDD and 21″ monitor
(later you will find that you need clusters to make image/movie rendering, animations, that means up to 10 computers “tied” together)
good luck
